Free Press Houston and its founder

The paper covered Houston bands, venues, art and local politics, and functioned as scene infrastructure: readers, artists and advertisers met through it. That network is the context for Free Press Summer Fest, which ran in Houston from 2009 to 2017.

Printed issues survive in the Free Press Houston print archive and in the independent Free Press Houston Archive, which also documents contributors and related festivals.
